About Aaron Marzwell

The recipient of a bachelor's in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master's in real estate development from Columbia University, Aaron Marzwell is an experienced developer and landlord in Los Angeles. Particularly interested in developing workforce housing, Aaron Marzwell served as vice president at CIM Group from 2007 to 2014 and has since held the title of CEO at APPA Real Estate. The investment and development firm leverages public and private partnerships to create value in distressed properties.

Throughout his career, Aaron Marzwell has overseen in excess of $5 billion in commercial and multifamily value-added transactions. This includes more than 100 multifamily properties as well as 546,000 square feet of retail and 675,000 square feet of office space. Rounding out his experience as a developer and landlord, he is versed in market assessment, property identification and negotiation, and oversight of the development process.

Mr. Marzwell holds membership with the Turnaround Management Association and Institute of Real Estate Management. He has spoken on industry topics at functions hosted by UCLA and the Urban Land Institute. His extracurricular interests include skiing, boating, and fishing.
